Is it permissible to watch a documentary about Buddhist monks for the purpose of thanking Allah for the blessing of Islam?

There is no harm in watching such materials for the purpose of reflection and remembering Allah's blessings, and to recognize falsehood in order to refute it, reject it, and denounce it, provided that one is not affected by any of it, and avoids religious prohibitions such as seeing 'awrah (private parts) and listening to music.
