Will Allah hold me accountable for feeling annoyed and lazy about my mother’s requests, despite my feeling of remorse and seeking forgiveness, and is this similar to the case of the man who used to pray for his mother’s death?

If you are good to your mother and do not fall short in your duties towards her, then the bad psychological thoughts you experience will not harm you, especially if you dislike them and strive to push them away. However, if this negative feeling results from laziness and preferring comfort, while your mother's demands are ordinary, then this is a sign of bad character and ignoble disposition. Remember that your mother is your door to Paradise, and you will not be able to fulfill Allah's right until you fulfill her right; she is the most deserving of good companionship, especially in her old age. It is not permissible to wish for your mother's death or to supplicate against her, as this is an act of disobedience to parents.
