Does a divorce take effect if the wife enters her family's home after her husband swore an oath of divorce that she should not enter her family's home if a certain event occurred, and this event, which was beyond their control, did occur?

If a husband makes a divorce conditional upon entering the house after a certain matter, the divorce takes effect upon the wife's entry. This is the view of the majority of scholars. However, if his intention was solely to prevent her from entering, without intending to enact the divorce, then according to Ibn Taymiyyah, he is obligated to offer an expiation for breaking an oath. A conditional divorce pronounced in a form that does not imply repetition takes effect once. However, if it implies repetition, it multiplies. The husband may take his wife back if it was the first or second divorce and before the 'iddah (waiting period) expires. As for the third divorce, she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband. The 'iddah ends with the purification from the third menstrual cycle, or the delivery of a pregnancy, or the passage of three months for a non-menstruating woman.
