Is the husband considered to have broken his oath and his wife divorced if he said to her, "If you enter my family's house, then you are divorced," and she subsequently entered his family's house?

Conditional divorce intended as a threat occurs, according to the majority of scholars, if the condition is met, and this is the preponderant opinion, contrary to Ibn Taymiyyah. So, if the wife enters the house after being threatened with divorce, the divorce has occurred. If it was the first or second divorce, the husband can take her back as long as she is within the waiting period (iddah) (pregnancy). If it was the third divorce, she is not lawful for him until she marries another man and he then divorces her. The husband's retraction of the condition has no effect, unless his intention was that she should not enter the house except with his permission; in that case, the divorce does not occur if she enters with his permission. The husband should not use divorce as a threat, but rather deal with his wife with wisdom and help her obey Allah.
