What is the ruling on the mu‘allaq hadiths in Sahih al-Bukhari, and are they authentic?

The mu'allaq (suspended) narrations in Sahih al-Bukhari are of two types:

The first type is mentioned with a decisive (affirmative) صيغة (formulation), and it is authentic back to the one to whom it is attributed.

The second type is mentioned with a صيغة that does not necessitate decisiveness, and this does not constitute a judgment of its authenticity.

Many of the mu'allaq narrations were connected by Al-Bukhari himself in another place. As for those he did not connect (160 narrations), Ibn Hajar connected them in "Taghliq al-Ta'liq".

And what Al-Bukhari attributed to some of his teachers with a decisive formulation is not a ta'liq (suspension); rather, its ruling is the same as that of a mu'an'an (narrated with 'an' - "from") mutassil (connected) narration.
