What is the ruling on a company buying a specific product and paying its price, then requesting coupons for the same value to be used by employees to buy any goods from the seller?

If the contract between the company and the merchant is for specific goods, and the merchant promises to give employees the right of exchange in response to the company's request, then there is no objection, provided the regulations for exchange are observed. However, if there is hesitation and uncertainty about the goods, it is not permissible, as it falls under the Prophet's (peace be upon him) prohibition of "two sales in one sale." This was explained by scholars as someone saying: "I sell you this garment for ten [cash] or twenty [on credit]," and they do not separate until one of the two sales is definitively chosen. To validate the transaction, there must be certainty and a contract for specific goods, and a mere promise of exchange for employees who desire it is sufficient.
