Is it permissible to remember Allah (dhikr) during ablution and in the place of ablution?

Remembering God and saying "Bismillah" (Basmalah) at the beginning of ablution is recommended by the majority of scholars. If one forgets it at the beginning and remembers it during ablution, they should say it. If they remember it after finishing, the ablution is valid. As for saying "Bismillah" for ritual bathing (ghusl), it is done by saying "Bismillah," and it is permissible to add "Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim" without intending it as a recitation of the Quran. Remembering God inside the toilet is disliked out of reverence for the sacredness of God's rituals, and for this reason, performing ablution inside it is disliked. However, if one is compelled to perform ablution inside the toilet, the preponderant opinion is that they should not recite the supplications of ablution, out of consideration for the place.
