Photographing women who adorn themselves, especially a bride who is beautified, is among the great forbidden acts due to it involving looking at a woman's 'awrah (intimate parts) and displaying her in her finest adornment, in addition to spreading and promoting evil if the pictures circulate. This profession is haram (definition) if it necessitates such work, and the young man who performs it is not suitable as a husband unless he repents and restricts himself to photographing what is permissible; for the criterion in acceptance is religion and character.
