What is required of one who has entered into a state of Ihram for 'Umrah and wore socks due to the cold weather?

It is not permissible for a man in a state of ihram to wear socks, but it is permissible for a woman to do so. If a man needs to wear them, he may do so, along with the obligation of a fidyah (expiation), which is: sacrificing a sheep, or feeding six poor persons, or fasting three days. He may choose whichever of these he wishes.
