What is the ruling on saying "Scholars love but do not walk on their own feet," if said by mistake and spontaneously? And does this necessitate ghusl or is it considered disbelief due to mocking scholars?

The scholars of Islamic law are the inheritors of the prophets, and revering them is revering Allah. Mocking them is forbidden and dangerous, and it may reach the level of disbelief if it is due to the religious knowledge they bear. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against not revering scholars, and Allah clarified that mocking believers is mocking Him, His verses, and His Messenger. However, if these words were uttered unintentionally, there is no sin upon the speaker. If he was joking without intending to mock knowledge, then he must seek forgiveness and repent.
