What is the ruling of the Sharia on a wife remaining with her husband's family, given their mistreatment of her and their interference in her private affairs?

It is permissible to boycott (hajr) for more than three (days) for someone whose interaction brings about a deficiency in religion, or harm to one's self or worldly affairs. For sometimes, a beautiful boycott is better than a harmful association.
