What is the ruling on reciting part of the Fatihah aloud and part of it silently in the same rak'ah?

Reciting aloud or silently is a Sunnah (prophetic tradition) in its proper place for the Imam (prayer leader) and the individual praying alone. It is disliked for the worshipper praying behind an Imam to recite aloud. If one recites part of the Fatiha silently in a place where it should be recited aloud, or recites part of it aloud in a place where it should be recited silently, due to forgetfulness, then they have abandoned a Sunnah, but their prayer is valid. They are required to perform the prostration of forgetfulness (Sujud al-Sahw) according to the Hanafis, Malikis, and one narration from the Hanbalis, unless the forgetfulness is minor, like a single verse or similar, in which case there is no prostration according to the Malikis. As for one who intentionally recites aloud or silently in an improper place, their prayer is valid, and they are not required to perform the prostration of forgetfulness.
