If you and your wife performed in Shawwal and then performed Hajj in the same year without traveling a distance that permits shortening prayers (qasr) between them, then you are both considered mutamatti‘an (performing tamattu‘ Hajj), even if you did not intend tamattu‘ at the time of Umrah.
In case of inability to offer the sacrifice (hady), it is sufficient for you both to fast three days during Hajj and seven days after returning to your country, based on the words of the Almighty: {And whoever cannot find [one] – then a fast of three days during Hajj and seven when you have returned [home]. Those are ten complete [days].}
However, if you are residents of Makkah, you are not required to offer the hady for tamattu‘.
