What is the ruling regarding a father's refusal to write the marriage contract for his daughter's fiancé after a significant portion of the apartment has been furnished, so that they may get to know each other better without falling into prohibited acts? And what should the daughter do in this situation?

Your father should not delay your marriage contract without justification, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Three things, O Ali, you should not delay: the prayer when its time comes, the funeral when it is present, and the widow/divorcee when she finds a suitable match." We advise seeking the mediation of some righteous people to speak with your father about expediting the contract. If he insists on the delay, then you must be patient, seek help from Allah, hold fast to Him, and observe the limits of Sharia in dealing with the suitor.
