Does a husband's obedience to his parents necessitate him altering his life decisions based on their desires, even if that is at the expense of his wife's comfort?

Marital life is based on independence and privacy, and no one from either spouse's family has the right to interfere in it, because such interference leads to the corruption of the relationship and the disintegration of the family. Islam has given every relationship its rights and obligations, so the husband must balance the rights of his wife and his family, without favoring one party over the other. The wife has a right to an independent dwelling and to the preservation of her home's privacy and secrets. The husband should consult her on important family matters, as mentioned in the Holy Quran. Relatives should not interfere in the couple's affairs unless the couple involves them, or their interference is in the form of sincere advice given for the sake of truth.
