It is recommended to complete seven circuits of a voluntary circumambulation (tawaf) to earn reward. If one does not complete it without a valid excuse, there is no reward for it. Continuity between the circuits is not obligatory, according to the preponderant opinion, and completing them consecutively is better, but there is no harm in not doing so.
