What is the interpretation of the spread of killing and bloodshed among relatives, cases of rape, and theft leading to murder, despite the prevalence of religion, and what is responsible for that?

The abundance of killing, strife, earthquakes, corruption, and the prevalence of evil deeds such as forbidden acts and fornication are among the minor signs of the Hour. The reason for this is the love of worldly life, ignorance of the religion, and weak adherence to its rulings. Everyone is responsible for this, each according to their capacity and position. Every individual must do what they can to enjoin good and forbid evil. These circumstances increase the believer's insight and certainty that Islam is a mercy to the worlds, and that punishment lies in people being left to themselves, which leads to the spread of tribulations and the disappearance of blessings.
