Is it permissible for a man to take back his irrevocably divorced wife, who does not desire marriage or conjugal life, by informing their eldest son to conceal the matter from her, for the sole purpose of making it permissible to see her and consult with her regarding the children's interests?

If the divorce is irrevocable (Talaq Bain), the husband must inform his ex-wife because he cannot take her back except with her consent, and she becomes like a suitor among other suitors. If the divorce is revocable (Talaq Raj'i), it is recommended to inform the wife of the return (reconciliation) to prevent complications, such as her marrying another man while still legally married to him, or the loss of her right to overnight stay (Qasm). The validity of the return does not depend on the wife's knowledge, as it is a continuation of an existing marriage. It is permissible to consult regarding the children's interests even with the separation, while observing the Shariah guidelines.
