Is it permissible for a working woman who is unable to perform the Dhuhr prayer on time due to work circumstances to combine the Dhuhr and Asr prayers, and what is the correct way to combine them?

When Allah prescribed the prayers, He appointed specific times for them. Therefore, it is not permissible to perform them before their time begins, nor after their time expires, except in specific cases, such as for the traveler or the sick. Combining prayers without a valid excuse is legally forbidden and contrary to Allah's command and the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The majority of scholars are of the opinion that it is prohibited. As for the hadith of Ibn Abbas concerning the Prophet's combining of prayers in Medina without fear, travel, or rain, researchers interpret it as a "visual combining" (jam' suri), where the Dhuhr prayer is performed at the very end of its time and the Asr prayer at the very beginning of its time.

Committing the error of combining prayers in a non-visual manner, in addition to shortening the prayer while being a resident, invalidates the prayer. The woman must repeat all the prayers she performed with shortening while she was a resident, by completing them as four rak'ahs for Dhuhr and Asr.

A woman working in a mixed-gender environment is not acceptable according to Sharia. She must leave this job if possible. If not possible, she must take the necessary precautions, such as avoiding khalwa (private seclusion with a non-mahram man) and dressing in modest Islamic attire. A woman is not required to pray in congregation. She may pray whenever the time for prayer comes and in any place, but she must not delay the prayer beyond its prescribed time.
