Is it permissible to consume wealth that was offered as a sacrifice to idols, then its owner repented and wished to return it?

Offering sacrifices to idols is an act of polytheism (shirk). Whoever offers money to idols must repent and reclaim what he presented, because these funds did not cease to be his property by that forbidden offering.
