If a person finds a treasure bearing a Muslim mark in a place he rented, it is considered a 'Luqata' (found item) and takes its rulings. The finder must announce it for a year. If its owner comes and describes it, he should hand it over to him. Otherwise, it becomes the property of the finder. In the announcement, some of its characteristics should be mentioned without fully detailing them, lest a liar falsely claim it. If its true owner appears after the finder has taken possession of it, the finder must pay him its value at the time it was taken.
