What is the ruling on requesting the publication of a website link that might lead to its placement on pages not compliant with Sharia, or its addition to web directories containing non-Sharia-compliant material, and what should be done if this has already occurred?

Among the means of inviting to goodness is promoting beneficial websites. It is permissible to seek assistance from owners of other websites to publish the link of a site, even if their sites are not [fully] regulated, because this may lead to goodness. As for websites that do not adhere to the regulations of Islamic law or spread corruption, it is not permissible to promote them or post their addresses, because that falls under aiding in sin and aggression, and it is an invitation to misguidance. If the addresses of such websites have been added, they must be removed, and one must repent to Allah.
