What is the ruling on receiving a government-provided housing unit through an interest-bearing bank loan, given the urgent need for housing, and are the procedures followed to amend banking procedures Islamically permissible?

What is understood from the aforementioned transaction is that the purchase of apartments occurs through real estate financing in the form of a loan from the bank, whereby the bank pays the price of the apartment and reclaims it from the buyer with interest and late fees. This is not permissible in Islamic law because it is usury (riba).

Accordingly, it is not permissible to enter into this contract in this form, and it is obligatory to refrain from proceeding with this transaction.

It has been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: "Indeed, the Holy Spirit breathed into my soul that no soul will die until it completes its term and fully receives its sustenance. So, fear Allah and be graceful in seeking [your livelihood], and let not any of you be carried away by the slowness of provision to seek it by disobeying Allah; for indeed, what is with Allah cannot be attained except through obedience to Him."
