Is it permissible to gild the frame of salon chairs with gold leaf (gold sheets designated for this purpose) instead of brass or bronze to change their color?

The jurists explicitly stated that it is impermissible for both men and women to use gold as bedding. This is supported by the hadith of Ali: "The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, took gold in his right hand and silk in his left, and said: 'These are forbidden for the males of my nation.'" This is also by analogy with gold and silver vessels, which are prohibited due to the extravagance involved, an act forbidden by Allah Almighty in His saying: "And do not be extravagant. Indeed, He does not like the extravagant." Furthermore, the wealthy should consider the condition of the poor and avoid extravagance.
