Is the premonition of events and hearing voices that tell of the unseen, and the subsequent healing of cases through ruqyah, accompanied by the smelling of beautiful incense, a deception from Satan, forbidden, and a claim to knowledge of the unseen, or does the Sharia have another opinion?

What is happening is a type of trial (ibtila’). It is better to keep it secret, except from someone you trust, while persistently supplicating to Allah. There are three possibilities for what is happening: hallucinations due to psychological illnesses, whispers (waswasa) from Satan, or divine inspiration (ilham ilahi). You can visit a psychiatrist to distinguish between hallucinations and whispers if they affect daily life. To differentiate between whispers from Satan and divine inspiration, consider whether there is anything in it that leads to harm or disobedience, or distracts from good, or calls to suspicion or arrogance. If so, then these are from the schemes of Satan, and you must seek refuge in Allah. However, if there is nothing of the aforementioned, then it might be an inspiration from Allah, which is a blessing and grace for the believer. But it is not permissible to act upon these inspirations concerning others unless there is supporting evidence. Abu al-Muzaffar al-Sam’ani rejects the denial of the principle of inspiration, distinguishing between truth and falsehood in it by stating that whatever aligns with the law of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and is not rejected by the Qur’an and Sunnah (definition) is acceptable, while whatever does not align is rejected as self-deception and whispers from Satan.
