Does a mother who abandoned her children in exchange for money have the right to demand money from them after they grow up and become employed, given that they are in need of this money?

It is obligatory to be dutiful and benevolent towards one's mother, for her satisfaction is from the satisfaction of Allah. A son will never be able to fulfill her right, no matter what he offers. If a mother is in need of money, it is obligatory for her children to spend on her and meet her needs. Scholars have unanimously agreed on the obligation of supporting poor parents who have no earnings or wealth, from the child's wealth.
