The relationship between a daughter and her father must not be nonexistent; rather, it should be based on righteousness and kindness from the daughter, and care and good upbringing from the father. It is not permissible for a daughter to take from her father's money without his knowledge, even if she intends to repay it. If she does so, it is theft and aggression, based on the Almighty's saying: "And do not consume one another's property wrongfully," and the Hadith: "The wealth of a Muslim person is not lawful except with his willing consent." She must repent and seek forgiveness from her father. However, if the father orders his son to give money to his daughter from his own funds, and the son refuses, then she may take what the father ordered without the brother's knowledge, and the father must be informed of this.
