Should the mosque be closed if a man committed sodomy therein and only one person witnessed it, who did not report it?

This man committed a grave sin and a major abomination, forbidden by consensus. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ruled that its perpetrator should be killed, absolutely. The sinfulness of transgressions increases in virtuous times and places. The perpetrator must repent, feel remorse, and resolve not to return to it, and he should conceal himself with Allah's concealment. As for the mosque, there is no harm to it, and it remains open for worship.
