هل ورد ذكر كلمة "قطن" بمعناها أو تفسيرها في القرآن الكريم؟

The word "cotton" is not mentioned in the Holy Quran. Al-Qurtubi explained this by stating that Allah mentioned what He bestowed upon the Arabs from what was available in their lands, such as wool, camel hair, and animal hair, but did not mention cotton and linen because they were not present in their lands at that time. It was also said that the omission of their mention was an aversion to luxury, and that the clothing of the righteous was wool. However, this view is debatable, as Allah alluded to cotton and linen in the word "garments" (sarābil) in His saying: "And He has made for you garments (sarābil)" and His saying: "O Children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your nakedness."
