What is the ruling on one who cheats people by offering merchandise (watches) at an inflated price and with poor service?
A Muslim must offer sincere advice and avoid cheating and deception in all transactions. If the price of an internet service is known, it is not permissible to charge more than that price unless the customer agrees. As for poor services and slow connections, what can be improved must be improved. It should be noted that opening internet cafes without observing Sharia regulations is a great deception and constitutes consuming wealth unlawfully. Therefore, whoever works in this field must fear Allah, and not take people's money unjustly, nor corrupt their religion and morals.
