What is the difference between a transgressor (fasiq) and a hypocrite (munafiq)?

The immoral (fasiq) is anyone who commits a major sin and does not repent from it, or persists and continues to commit a minor sin. As for the hypocrite (munafiq), he is anyone characterized by hypocrisy, which is of two types: major hypocrisy that expels one from the faith, and minor hypocrisy that does not expel one from the faith.
