Is it permissible for one of a wife's divorce pronouncements to be in her hand and two in the husband's hand, and what are the rights of each party should the wife desire divorce based on this condition?

This condition stipulated by the wife's father is invalid, and therefore the wife has no right to divorce herself, as divorce is in the hands of the husband. If the wife is harmed, she may take her case to the judge and request a divorce due to harm. If there is no harm, she cannot seek divorce unless she offers him compensation [khul'] in return for it. It is important to note the prohibition against a woman asking for divorce without a valid reason, as divorce is detested in Islamic law and should not be resorted to except when reconciliation is impossible. If the spouses can reconcile and live together amicably, even by overlooking some minor faults and compromising on some rights, that is preferable to separation.
