Is it permissible to take money from one's parents to give as charity, and is seeking forgiveness more powerful than charity in facilitating matters and attaining God's pleasure?

Drawing near to Allah Almighty through good deeds is a key to facilitating matters in this world and the Hereafter. "And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out" (Quran 65:2), and seeking forgiveness grants the servant good enjoyment. It is permissible for a servant to intend a worldly benefit through a righteous deed, provided it is secondary to the intention of obedience seeking the countenance of Allah. However, singling out the intention for worldly fortunes contradicts sincerity. Seeking forgiveness is better than charity because the remembrance of Allah Almighty is the best, purest, and highest in rank of all deeds. It is superior to spending gold and striving in the cause of Allah, and nothing is more salvific from the punishment of Allah than the remembrance of Allah. Constant remembrance of Allah is the best occupation for a servant after fulfilling their obligatory duties. There is no harm in performing acts of worship and intending to achieve worldly needs after intending to draw closer to Allah.
