ما هي حروب الردة؟

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The Ridda Wars were the wars that took place between the Muslims, led by Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, and the apostate Arabs after the death of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. The apostates were divided into those who claimed prophethood, such as Musaylimah the Liar, and those who withheld zakat. The Companions fought all of these until they returned to Islam. Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him, said: "By Allah, if they were to withhold from me a mere rope (or a she-goat) that they used to pay to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, I would fight them for withholding it."
