Is it permissible to buy an electronic gaming device with the intention of investing and making a financial profit, knowing that the games include questions, information, and tests of abilities and intelligence, and are accompanied by light music and sound effects when starting the game?

It is permissible to rent out computer devices for computer games if the Shariah controls are met; otherwise, it is not permissible. Among these controls is that the games must be free of music. If they contain music, it is not permissible to play them or rent them out, unless the music can be removed or the speakers can be turned off.
