What is the interpretation of Verse 34 from Surah (Sad) and what is the reason for its revelation?

The verified interpreters of the Qur'an are of the view that the reason for the trial of Solomon (peace be upon him), mentioned in the verse: "And We did certainly try Solomon and We placed on his throne a body; then he returned," is clarified in the Hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), in which Solomon swore that he would go around to seventy, ninety, or one hundred women, so that each one would give birth to a boy who would fight in the way of Allah, but he did not say "if Allah wills." So, none of them gave birth except one woman, who delivered half a human being. This half is the body that was placed on his throne. As for other widespread stories, such as his marriage to a woman who worshipped idols, these are from the Isra'iliyyat (Judeo-Christian traditions) which have no basis and contradict the stature of prophethood.
