Will a person afflicted by jinn possession, who fell short in fulfilling their duties to Allah because of it, be held accountable on the Day of Judgment in the same way as a healthy person, knowing that they did not choose this affliction?

The afflicted may attain a great reward that others have not, for "the greater the affliction, the greater the reward. And when Allah loves a people, He tests them. Whoever is content, for him is contentment, and whoever is displeased, for him is displeasure." The sins of the afflicted may be forgiven due to the affliction, which eases their reckoning on the Day of Judgment, for "calamity continues to afflict the believing man and woman in their self, child, and wealth until they meet Allah with no sin upon them," and "there is no Muslim who is pricked by a thorn or more, except that a degree is written for him by it, and a sin is erased from him by it." These afflictions expiate sins, raise ranks, and increase good deeds.
