Is it considered unjust for a mother to ask her daughters for regular help with household cleaning, excluding her sons, and is it obligatory for them to obey in this regard?

A mother's request for her daughters to help organize household affairs is not an injustice to them; rather, it is a training for them to fulfill their future duties as wives. Islamic Sharia (definition) has established that internal household service falls upon the wife, as stated in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) ruling between Ali and Fatima (may Allah be pleased with them both). This training is essential to avoid marital problems that may arise from a woman's lack of experience in managing her home. Moreover, Sharia encourages training children in acts of worship from a young age to prepare them for religious obligations upon reaching puberty, such as commanding them to pray and fast. Daughters must obey their mothers in what is good, for obedience to parents is obligatory unless it involves disobedience to Allah. As for sons, they can be utilized for services outside the home, such as purchasing necessities or assisting their father in his work.
