The answer for someone who asks why she wears hijab is that the hijab was enjoined upon her by Allah Almighty as a Muslim woman. It is not permissible to argue by citing other women who do not wear hijab, because they have not complied with Allah's command and have disobeyed Him, as stated in Surat Al-Ahzab: ﴿O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.﴾ These disobedient women are not role models, and they themselves know about the obligatoriness of hijab and believe in it.
