What is meant by the the condition of performance and the condition of endurance, and is Islam a condition of performance or a condition of endurance?

Bearing (تحمل) is defined as conveying a hadith (definition) from another person through any valid method, and it requires discernment and precision. Performance (أداء), on the other hand, is narrating a hadith to others, and it requires justice and precision, meaning the narrator must be a Muslim, adult, sane, free from فسق (transgression), حافظ (memorizer) of his hadith, and knowledgeable of the meanings of words. Thus, Islam is a condition for performance but not for bearing. Therefore, it is permissible to hear from a disbeliever, a transgressor, and a child, as in the story of Jubayr ibn Mut'im, who heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, reciting Surat At-Tur while Jubayr was still a polytheist, and then he narrated it as a believer.
