Is it permissible to take carpets from a mosque that has been renovated to a school prayer room?

It is permissible to transfer the surplus of the mosque's mats and oil to another mosque or to donate it to the poor. If the mosque no longer needs something, such as a mattress or cabinet, it should be transferred to another mosque if possible; otherwise, it should be sold, and its price spent on the mosque. Transferring furnishings to the mosque's prayer area takes precedence over donating them to the poor.
