Is the husband sinful if he sleeps in a different room away from his wife for more than three nights due to his anger with her and her repeated mistakes, knowing the limits and regulations of desertion (hajr)?

We advise the husband to beware of anger and to cultivate forbearance, citing the hadith, "Indeed, knowledge is acquired by learning, and forbearance is acquired by striving to be forbearing." As for abandoning the wife, it is not permissible except to discipline her for her rebellion (nushooz), and it must be in the bed itself, not by refraining from speaking to her—which is preferable. It is permissible to sleep in another room. Abandonment is not the first step in treating rebellion, nor is it limited to three nights. The husband should accept his wife's apology if possible, and the wife should not repeat the mistake after apologizing.
