Is Israfil (peace be upon him) one of the bearers of the Throne? And how many bearers of the Throne are there in this world? And is Allah's saying: "And eight will, that Day, bear the Throne of your Lord above them" specific to the Hereafter, or does it include both this world and the Hereafter?

Israfil (peace be upon him) is one of the close angels and the one who will blow the Trumpet (Sur). Scholars have differed regarding whether he is among the bearers of the Throne. Some have affirmed this, while others have withheld judgment. It has not been established in an authentic hadith that he is among the bearers of the Throne, so refraining from this statement is more appropriate. The bearers of the Throne are currently four, and on the Day of Resurrection, they will be eight, which is the view of the majority.
