A man is responsible for his wife and children, protecting them from temptations. It is permissible to monitor their phones when suspicion arises, but it is forbidden to spy on them without it, as it may shake trust and cause corruption. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If you pursue the private affairs of people, you will corrupt them, or you will be close to corrupting them." A man should be keen to teach his family matters of their religion, and to purify their souls through faith, and to be a role model for them, for a good role model is one of the greatest aids in upbringing.
