Joshua, son of Nun, is one of the noble prophets. He is mentioned in the Quran as "his servant" (fatah) in the story of Al-Khidr. His prophethood is agreed upon by the People of the Book. Prophets are, by consensus of Muslims, infallible from vices. It is unfitting for a Muslim to ask about a story that implies Joshua, son of Nun, married a harlot, as this is a lie, a calumny, and a distortion. Such stories have been attributed to prophets in corrupted books. Ibn Hazm, in his book "Al-Fasl fi al-Milal wal-Ahwa wal-Nihal," mentioned examples of such distortion and lies attributed to prophets, including what was attributed to Joshua, son of Nun.
