Is it correct to say: "We love Allah more than the our love for faith and Paradise"?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The love of Allah must be given precedence over all other loves. In the Prophetic Hadith: "There are three qualities, whoever has them will taste the sweetness of faith: that Allah and His Messenger are more beloved to him than anything else." Faith and Paradise are beloved as a consequence of the love for Allah, for Paradise is an honor bestowed by Allah upon His servants, and its greatest honor is the proximity to the Lord and beholding His Face. It is not permissible for a believer to equate anything with the love of Allah, and one must beware of extremism and delving too deeply into religious matters.
