Is it permissible to repair an apartment building's elevator, contribute to its repair, or hire a cleaning lady for the building, using money from usurious interest, with the intention of getting rid of it and for the public good?

Whoever has engaged in usury is obligated to repent and cease from it, and to dispose of its illicit gains by spending them on general Muslim welfare projects such as bridges, schools, and mosques, or by giving them to the poor and needy. It is not permissible to spend these gains on repairing an elevator or hiring a cleaner for a building, because the building is private property and not among the public utilities.
