Masturbation is the conscious inducement of semen emission by any means, and it is forbidden and carries great risks. However, if semen is discharged due to a sleeping posture or the placement of a hand near the private parts during sleep, this is not considered masturbation, and there is no sin in it, because the sleeping person is not held accountable. It is disliked to lie on one's stomach.
