What are the deeds and invocations by which a king (angel) who accompanies a servant is made to submit?

Allah dedicates His angels to His believing servant through certain dhikrs (remembrances) and actions: such as reciting Ayat al-Kursi or a surah from the Quran before sleep for protection from Satan; sleeping in a state of ritual purity so that the angel supplicates for the purified person; using a siwak (tooth-stick) before prayer and Quran recitation so that the angel draws near to the reciter and places his mouth upon the reciter's mouth; saying "Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu, yuḥyī wa yumītu wa huwa 'alā kulli shay'in qadīr" (There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise. He gives life and causes death, and He is over all things competent) ten times after Fajr and Maghrib prayers for protection from Satan, erasure of bad deeds, and recording of good deeds; attending gatherings of dhikr which the angels encircle and which are enveloped by mercy; and prolonging one's stay in the mosque, where the angels pray upon the one who remains seated as long as he does not commit hadath (ritual impurity).
