The opinion permitting epilation (al-nams) for a married woman is held by some scholars. They base their argument on the hadith of Aisha: "If you have a husband and you are able to remove your eyeballs and make them more beautiful than they are, then do so." Although some may incline to this view, the preponderant opinion is that epilation is absolutely forbidden, and there is latitude in trimming (al-haff) for those who have a need for it.
